Privacy Policy for FitTrack

This Privacy Policy describes how FitTrack ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. FitTrack is a fitness and health-tracking app that helps you log workouts, meals, water intake, sleep, and track your progress over time.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address and name (when you create an account or sign in)
• Profile photo (optional, if you choose to upload one)

Health and Fitness Data

• Exercise and workout logs you enter
• Food, recipe, and nutrition diary entries
• Water intake records
• Sleep entries
• Weekly summaries and progress statistics generated from the above

App Activity

• In-app actions and usage analytics (e.g. which features you use), used to improve the app
• Achievement and milestone data
• Feedback or support messages you submit to us

Device Information

• Notification tokens, used solely to deliver reminders you schedule (meals, workouts, water, sleep)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide core app functionality: tracking your meals, water, sleep, and exercise
• To let you sign in and keep your data synced across sessions
• To send reminder notifications you have scheduled
• To generate weekly summaries and progress insights
• To respond to support requests you send us
• To improve app performance and fix issues

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore/Storage services). Firebase applies industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

FitTrack uses the following third-party service to operate:

Firebase may process data on our behalf as described in their privacy policy linked above. We do not share your personal health data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You can request deletion of your FitTrack account and all associated data at any time. Here's how:

1. Open the FitTrack app
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap Delete Account
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Alternatively, you can email us at gulshidzada4@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" and we will process your request manually.

What gets deleted: Your account credentials, name, email, all health & fitness logs (exercise, food, water, sleep, weight), achievements, and app activity data are permanently deleted.

Retention period: Data is deleted within 30 days of your request. Some data may be retained for up to 90 days in backup systems before being fully purged, after which it cannot be recovered.

6. Children's Privacy

FitTrack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g. notifications) at any time via device settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
